Amjad Al Shabatat, Project Director at Arcadis Saudi Arabia, was recognized by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, with the Innovative Project Manager Award, at an awards ceremony held in Dubai earlier this month.
Launched in 2015, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management aims at supporting project development through innovative and creative sustainable solutions, and recognizing talent and creative potential in project management locally, regionally and internationally.
Amjad leads a Site Supervision team that’s managing a number of large Water and Infrastructure projects across KSA and Bahrain. For the Innovative Project Manager Award, he scored highly in three of the category’s six areas of innovation, namely Cost, Time and Scope Management; Risk and Issue Management; and Stakeholder, Culture and Change Management.
“When it comes to delivering complex projects, I’m a firm believer in what I call the three P’s: Proper Team, Proper Communication and Proper Motivation. If you get these three things right, there’s very little that can stop you from delivering a successful project,” said Amjad Al Shabatat.
