Hong Kong – November 28, 2024 – Arcadis participated in the International Infrastructure and Projects Leaders Summit (IIPLS), hosted by the Development Bureau (DEVB) of the Hong Kong SAR. The summit, themed "Strategic Leadership in Managing Complexity and Uncertainty in Infrastructure Delivery," focused on exploring strategies and policies for infrastructure delivery plans while addressing the challenges and opportunities inherent in implementing mega infrastructure projects.
The summit brought together over 500 leading infrastructure project leaders and experts from more than 20 countries and regions worldwide. Among the distinguished attendees were senior government officials from the Chinese Mainland and various other nations, along with representatives from esteemed international organizations such as the World Economic Forum and the International Institute for Management Development. John Batten, Global Cities Director at Arcadis, served as a distinguished speaker, while Weibin Xu, Head of Greater China at Arcadis, was present with the leadership team and heads of Arcadis Hong Kong and Macau.
During the plenary session titled "Powerful Partnerships: Collaboration for Project Success," John Batten offered insights from a global perspective, drawing on the Arcadis PMO team's extensive experience with high-profile projects such as the New York Hudson Tunnel Project and the Tencent Shenzhen Dachan Bay Future Technology City Project. He underscored the benefits of the PMO management model, which facilitates efficient organization and seamless coordination among all stakeholders.
