Arcadis Executive Director, Richard Warburton has been appointed as the President of the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore.
With almost 400 corporate companies representing around 3,600 individuals in Singapore, the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore is one of the most vibrant, active and influential organizations in the Singapore business community. It plays a significant role in strengthening the bi-lateral ties between the United Kingdom and Singapore, enabling opportunities for companies to successfully build networks, connect with other businesses and create opportunities for further growth.
Richard has been an active member of the Chamber since 2009. A Board member since 2014, he held the role of Vice President from earlier in 2019. Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “As a long-term member, I have been actively involved over the past decade, seeing first hand the transition of the Chamber develop into the thriving, engaged and forward-thinking organization it is today. I look forward to working closely with the membership, business committees, partners and the executive team to ensure the continued growth of the Chamber in a relevant way aligned to members needs and the evolving business landscape ”

A Chartered Surveyor by background, Richard has been with Arcadis over 25 years, having held business leadership roles in the UK, Middle East and across Asia. He has lived in Singapore for the last ten years. Richard is an experienced Programme Manager who leads the delivery of technical advisory and project delivery on major / complex, pan geographical and pan sector programmes of work and transactions in Real Estate and Infrastructure.
