Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy organization for natural and built assets, today announced that Prabhu Chandrasekeran, vice president, intelligent water practice leader, has been named to the International Water Association’s (IWA) Steering Committee for the IWA Digital Water Programme. The IWA, a global network of water professionals and organizations, aims to drive solutions for sustainable water management worldwide.
Chandrasekeran has over 15 years of experience in the water sector applying intelligent water technology solutions to help water utilities improve their performance, efficiency and resilience. As an expert in digital water technologies, Chandrasekeran brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the committee. He has experience spearheading digital transformation initiatives within the water industry and advocating for the adoption of technology-driven solutions to enhance water resource management and operational efficiency.
The Digital Water Programme seeks to explore and harness the potential of digital technologies in water management, addressing critical challenges faced by the sector. The 2023-2025 Steering Committee, comprised of international water experts, will focus on key areas such as data management, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and smart water systems. By leveraging digital innovations, the committee aims to improve efficiency, sustainability and resilience in water management practices globally. The committee will collaborate to develop frameworks, guidelines and best practices to empower water professionals and organizations with digital tools and knowledge.
