NEW YORK, June 30, 2022 – Arcadis has named Jee Mee Kim its New York City metro area city executive. In this role, Kim will lead the firm’s strategic growth initiatives, pursue new business development opportunities and partnerships, and oversee client relationships in the New York City region. The 2022 Arcadis Sustainable Cities Index recently named New York City the fourth most sustainable city in the U.S.

Kim brings 20 years of experience managing complex urban development and transportation projects across the U.S. Most recently, she was appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio to serve as the Chief Strategy Officer for the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT), where she oversaw critical teams and developed strategic initiatives, including a plan to save and reimagine the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway cantilever.

In addition to her work with NYCDOT, Kim has also worked at HR&A Advisors and Sam Schwartz Engineering. She is a recognized thought leader and practitioner on urban transportation and mobility issues, real estate and economic development, transit-oriented development and infrastructure funding.
