Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most iconic examples of Gothic architecture in the world and one of the most visited locations in all of Europe. Apart from the Eifel Tower, the church is the most recognized landmark in the City of Paris.
Back in 2019, a fire broke out in the roof of the cathedral and people around the world watched on live television as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. Though the damage to Notre Dame was extensive, luckily the church remained intact.
