Right now, more than 36,000 Arcadians are working to address the world’s challenges, such as climate change, urbanization, digitalization, and poverty. They are reimaging the places where we live and work, developing new ways to move people and goods around and between our cities and they are redefining how we use and protect the resources we need. Their work is guided by our company’s core values: People First, Integrity, Client Success, Collaboration, and Sustainability.
We are committed to providing an engaging, innovative, and healthy work environment for all Arcadians. We actively support our people in creating their own careers and transforming the world for the better. We are committed to the development of all Arcadians, in their careers and also in their personal lives. This is why we promote good mental health and wellbeing as well as a sustainable work-life balance.
Each year, Arcadians work on more than 30,000 projects through which they can contribute to a more sustainable world. We have also created programs for our people such as Expedition DNA, which gives Arcadians the digital skills for the careers of the future. Our Global Shapers program is focused on giving our early-career Arcadians opportunities to grow their professional skills and networks, to become the leaders of the future. Additionally, for more than a decade, we have partnered with UN-Habitat in the Shelter Program, through which Arcadians do pro bono work that is improving quality of life in the developing world.
Our commitment to our people runs deep and is underpinned by our company’s largest shareholder the Lovinklaan Foundation. Each year, the Lovinklaan Foundation takes the returns on its investment in Arcadis and reinvests them into programs that support the development of our people and communities around the world. Improving quality of life is no mere slogan; it truly is at the heart of all that we do.
