Strategic Planning and Transition at the Cleanup Division
Aberdeen, Maryland, USA

Following reorganization, the Army Environmental Center (AEC) needed assistance to develop and execute a transition plan for its cleanup division. The cleanup division provides program management, technical assistance and oversight when the Army cleans up pollution caused by past practices.

Malcolm Pirnie held interviews with internal leaders and external stakeholders and also facilitated team sessions. The Pirnie team created a mission statement for the AEC, developed a strategic plan and prepared communication documents. Additionally, they also provided program management and technical expertise during the implementation of the strategic transition plan.

The Pirnie team completed the strategic plan four months ahead of schedule, leaving the AEC with a more efficient cleanup division.
